Wednesday, October 13, 2010 : The video changed my thoughts about technology a little by telling me that they will use the computer more than the text books that they payed so much for. They will use facebook while during classes and using the computer to search up things, they will use look at their labtop rather than look up at the teacher that is trying to tell you what to teach, but I still think that computers and technology have saved the world a lot by saving paper and making research easier to find.
Thursday, October 14, 2010: This story would be known as a counter example because the kids are happy about having technology at first, like having a teacher that is always in their house, or how they read their homework on a screen that goes from side to side so you don't have to do any work. Until Tommy came and found a book that was in his attic from when his grandfather was in school. Then Margie was very upset by the fact that she didn't have anyone to hate school with. No one to hang out with or talk to during the school day. She wonders all the time why things changed the way they did, she hated not having anyone with her to hang out with her. She doesn't like the new theory of technology because she doesn't have any one to talk to, and she's fed up with it.
Group Work: Raeann and Lauren & Bailey (: Reason why normal school is good. 1. You can talk and ask questions, if you don't understand. 2. Teacher explains things well. 3. You can actually move around, and not just stay in one room.
Reason why technology in school is good. 1. Look things up. 2. Save paper. 3. You are organized.
Friday, October 15, 2010 My definition of critical thinking is: Critical thinking is something that you have to think hard and think outside of the box to get the answer.
1) It is important to think critically because you can solve more things that would would take time, and maybe invent something new.
2) When you are trying to think critically, you may use technology because it would help you with any questions that you have against the problem that you are trying to solve.
